Q12. Can I just apply new sealant right on top of the old moldy silicone caulk?
We strongly suggest removing all old silicone completely first. Clean the surface thoroughly and wait until it’s totally dry before applying new sealant. This way the new caulk can stick tightly and prevent mold regrowth for a long time.
